Halloween is just around the corner and if you are like our family having fun is what it is all about. Fall is one of my favorite seasons because there is just so much stuff do do, we look forward to going to the Pumpkin Patch to pick a pumpkin. While we are there a hayride and some hot chocolate makes the experience complete. We have family bonfires, go trick or treating and enjoy lots of yummy apple cider and fall treats along the way.
The most important thing about Halloween is just to have fun but stick within your budget! We recently made some yummy vampire, and Frankenstein brownies and some ghostly suckers! There are baking mixes out right now that include most items you need so you don’t have to break the bank buying items you might not use again.
As you can see my daughter was having a blast helping make these scary little monsters.
I am sure you all have your fall traditions for this time of year as well but if your looking for some more ideas, here are some tips to help your family plan the Perfect Halloween and stay within your budget.
Have fun with food!
Use words like Slimy Syrup or monster marshmallows. Kid’s love it and they may even be more apt to eat those creepy carrots.
Have a dance party!
Turn on some spooky music and do the “Monster Mash”.
Make some crafts
You may be surprised to see what kinds of items you can make with stuff you already have around the house.
Turn down the lights
Everything is scarier when the lights are low so turn down the lights, pop some popcorn and tell ghost stories.
Be Safe
Bring your flashlights or have your glow sticks on hand and have FUN!
