McDonalds Happy Meal Toys Recall!

McDonalds Happy Meal Recall

Heads up to those of you who may have had McDonalds Happy Meals in the past month!  McDonald’s is issuing a mass recall of more than 2 million toys throughout the United States and Canada, following incidents of choking in small children.

The Hello Kitty Birthday Lollipop Whistle, which was distributed in Happy Meals throughout October and part of November, has detachable parts that have led to multiple choking accidents. Because 2.5 million whistle toys were handed out over the course of the month, the fast food chain is offering replacement toys or healthy desserts to any families who return their toys.

So if your child has been blowing on a Hello Kitty whistle lately, make sure to turn it in at your local McDonald’s!

10 Minute Clean

As a mom life is crazy, between working, cooking, taking care of kids, doing laundry, and running errands, it’s a never-ending task. Most likely your house is suffering as a result. You don’t need to spend your free time cleaning because I have some spectacular insider tips for a 10 minute clean that will leave you feeling refreshed and your guests thinking you are Super Mom! #InstaClean

You will need these 3 items Windex®, Pledge Lemon Clean® and Pledge Multi Surface®. I recommend having these on hand at all times because you can literally clean anything when you have these and believe me your house is going to shine. ;-)

10 Minute Clean Windex

I picked these up at my local Kroger store and right now they are included in the Mega Event (Buy 4 – Save $4) so you can score a great deal as well. The Windex® will be on sale from 11/3-11/15 and the Pledge Lemon Clean® and Pledge Multi Surface® will be on sale fro11/10-12/27. Kroger Affiliates Include Baker’s Supermarkets, City Market, Dillons Food Stores, Fry’s Food And Drug, Gerbes Super Markets, Harris Teeter, Jay C, King Soopers, Owen’s, Pay Less Super Markets, QFC, Ralphs, Scott’s, Smith’s, Fred Meyer, and Food 4 Less.

All of these items are located on the same aisle and can be found near all the cleaning products.

Check out this short list of simple tasks to get your home guest ready with the 10 Minute Clean:

  • Focus on just the areas of your house where your guests will be.
  • Declutter: Grab a bin or bag and clear off surfaces. Clear off tables, countertops and pick up items left on the floor.
  • Make it Shine: Everything looks better when it’s shiny so get rid of those water spots on the faucets by spraying them with a swipe of Windex. Also use your Windex® to clean your mirrors and give your toilets a quick wipe down. Grab your Pledge® to dust off tables and wipe down countertops.
  • Tidy the Linens: Be sure to shake out your floor rugs and set out fresh towels in your bathroom. This simple step takes literally 10 seconds or less and check out the huge impact it makes.

  • Quickly Vacuum: This is not a deep cleaning vacuum this is just enough to get a few swipes done to pick up major items such as pet hair or lint. It will also leave those freshly vacuumed lines that will give the illusion the whole room was just cleaned.

Here is a quick recap of the 10 minute cleaning using Windex®, Pledge Lemon Clean® and Pledge Multi Surface® and how you will feel once your house is shining! :-)

I Dare You to Take the Lollipop….

Warning: This is very freaky and thought I would share since it’s Halloween if you scare easily do NOT do this -This is solely for entertaining purposes and fictional.

Here’s some freaky entertainment….not a deal and although this is a fictional flick, it’s also a HUGE REMINDER to be safe this Halloween!! Take the Lollipop to see what I’m talking about.
This does install a Facebook app so I would go delete the app which you can find Apps on the left hand side of your Facebook page and click on there to find it and delete it.  It should be fine but it creeped me out so I deleted it ;-)

We Will Never Forget.

Please take a moment today and pray for those families who lost loved ones, the children who lost parents and those who stepped in to help who are now sick today.

I Will NEVER FORGET where I was at this moment 13 years ago today; like many other Americans.  I was working in the corporate world at the time and was on a conference call with an AON representative who was in Tower 1.  She told us she had to get off the conference call because a plane hit the tower.  We were thinking some small cargo plane had hit it and wasn’t too concerned.  We couldn’t believe our eyes when we turned on the news.  It was a day of disbelief and shock.

Months later we did talk with her again and she and her colleagues were injured trying to get out but they were alive.

Where were you on this day?

never forget
