I love the Fall Season, cuddling up in sweatshirts, making a crock pot of Chili and watching a football game is a picture of fall for me. The kids also get a couple days of break from school so enjoy the season with some fun family activities.
Visit the Pumpkin Patch
This is one of our family’s favorites. If you live in a rural town or the suburbs, there are likely many nearby pumpkin patches to visit. If you live in the city, local parks often host some sort of pumpkin-themed activities.
Visit a Craft Festival
Fall is the time that many fall festivals are happening. Go grab a hot cider and leisurely browse the crafts. It’s cheap and the kids love it and many times they will be giving away balloons or have face painting.
Plant Bulbs
Now is the time to plant those bulbs so you can enjoy them in the spring! Most kids love gardening and digging in the dirt so this would be a great time to get it done with some extra hands helping.
Have a Bonfire
Go grab some hot dogs, stuff to make S ‘mores and enjoy a night in the backyard with a Bonfire. It’s a great way to get the family together for next to nothing and make some memories.
Go on a Bike Ride
Go out and enjoy the nice cool breeze and while getting some outdoor time and taking in the fall foliage. You can even collect some of the leaves you find along the way and make a leaf rubbing craft.
Go on a Hay Ride
We love Hay rides in our family. Grab a hot chocolate and take a ride. You can enjoy it as well and the kids have a ball!
Carve a Pumpkin
Spend the afternoon carving and decorating pumpkins, there are many ways to decorate. Allow the kids to use their imagination by painting them, using markers and drawing silly faces or decorating with glitter. When you’re done clean off and roast the seeds for a vitamin packed, yet fun treat.
